AMCP is committed to providing a safe environment for attendees and staff during AMCP AMCP 2022 in Chicago. There will not be a virtual component in conjunction with the in-person meeting.
To maintain the health and well-being of all participants at AMCP 2022, AMCP is implementing the following procedures. Attendees that do not feel well will be strongly encouraged not to attend AMCP 2022.
AMCP follows CDC recommendations for COVID safety.
Based on current CDC and Chicago guidelines, masks will be optional.
AMCP requires a COVID 19 vaccination to attend AMCP 2022 in Chicago. Booster shots are strongly recommended, though not required.
To facilitate the COVID vaccination verification process, we have partnered with VOW Digital Health. Attendees will receive a text message from VOW Digital Health three weeks prior to the meeting walking them through the process of uploading their vaccination card and government issued ID. You are considered fully vaccinated if you have received your second shot (or first J&J shot) within 14 days of arrival onsite.
McCormick Place Healthy Meeting Efforts
McCormick Place examined all the buildings on campus and implemented changes to enhance public health to ensure a healthy experience. The convention center achieved Global Biorisk Advisory Council’s GBAC STAR Accreditation — considered the gold standard in the industry. Only 70 convention centers in the United States have received this accreditation.
In addition, McCormick Place:
- Added new technology, such as increasing the number of touch-free, automatic doors and allowing non-automatic doors to be propped open to minimize touches by guests and staff
- Incorporated new signage and processes for elevators and escalators
- Ensured the highest possible air quality by utilizing our team of building engineers who regularly verify compliance within McCormick Place and the Wintrust Arena with ASHRAE standards. This engineering team also works with Hyatt and Marriott personnel in the hotels to maintain consistent standards across McCormick Square
Greeting Other Attendees
We will include ribbons in the registration area for attendees to indicate their comfort with social distance, elbow bumps, head nods, or hugs. If an attendee does not have a ribbon on that indicates their comfort level, we ask that attendees ask each other before shaking hands or hugging.
Hand Sanitization Stations
Hand sanitization stations are located throughout the meeting space.
Registration Cancellation Policy
Full refunds on registration will be granted anytime if cancelled due to illness, COVID 19 company travel policies, or AMCP's vaccination policy.
